What we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Version 2026-10-17
What this covers
This explains what MyTixty collects about you, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to everyone who uses the site, whether you buy, sell or only browse.
MyTixty is the controller of the personal data described here. If you want to reach us about any of it, write to support@mytixty.com.
What we collect
When you create an account: your email address, and a display name if you set one.
When you buy: what you bought, what you paid, and the delivery details needed to get the tickets to you. Card details are entered on our payment provider's page and are never seen or stored by us.
When you sell: everything above, plus the identity document and bank details we need in order to verify you and pay you. We hold the document itself, the name and date of birth on it, and the account details you give us.
When you use the site: the pages you look at, the searches you run, and basic technical information such as your browser and approximate location from your IP address.
When you contact us or raise a dispute: what you write, and what the other party to the order writes.
Why we are allowed to hold it
To perform our contract with you: taking payment, delivering tickets, paying sellers, answering support.
To meet legal obligations: verifying the identity of people we send money to, and keeping records of payments for as long as the law requires.
For our legitimate interests: preventing fraud, settling disputes fairly, keeping the platform secure, and understanding how it is used so we can improve it.
With your consent, where we ask for it: marketing email, which you can stop at any time.
Ticket transfers
When you buy a mobile ticket, we give the seller a private address that forwards to you. Mail sent to it is read by our systems to decide whether it is a genuine transfer from a ticketing platform, and is stored so that a later dispute can be settled on the record rather than on recollection.
Your own email address is never shown to the seller. Mail that is not from a ticketing platform is held rather than forwarded, and can be read by our staff when resolving a dispute.
Uploaded tickets
Files you upload to an order are read automatically to check that they look like a ticket for that event. They are stored privately, visible only to the two parties to the order and to our staff when settling a dispute.
Who else sees it
Our payment provider, to take payment and to send payouts.
Our email provider, to send the messages the service depends on.
Our hosting and database providers, who store the data on our behalf.
Law enforcement or regulators where we are legally required to disclose.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Where it is held
Our providers store and process data outside the United Arab Emirates, including in the European Union and the United States. Where that happens we rely on the transfer safeguards those providers offer.
How long we keep it
Account and order records: for as long as you have an account, and afterwards for as long as we are required to keep records of payments.
Identity documents and bank details: for as long as the law requires us to keep records of payments made to you.
Transfer mail and uploaded tickets: until the order is settled and the window for a dispute has passed.
Support conversations: for as long as your account exists.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our using it. Write to support@mytixty.com and we will answer.
Some of it we cannot delete on request, because we are required to keep records of payments we have made. Where that applies we will tell you which parts and why.
Changes
We may change this notice. Material changes are published here with a new version date.
